One project, one credential.
Each named integration gets its own local token. Revoke access from the Mac app when the project no longer needs it.
LOCAL CODEX JOB API / MAC BETA
Use the Codex signed in on your Mac for local development. Connect a project, copy one setup prompt, and let your coding agent integrate it.
Free app. Codex uses your ChatGPT allowance; account-managed extra charges may apply.
THE FIRST PROJECT 01 / 03
Makoda keeps setup inside your Mac and gives your coding agent the exact handoff for your project.
Makoda checks the Codex installed on your Mac and its ChatGPT sign-in. No model request is needed.
Name your project, select a model and effort, then create access and copy setup in one click. Paste it into your coding agent.
Your dev app uses the local endpoint. Poll the job ID for the result, even if the request connection drops.
BUILT FOR THE DEV LOOP 02 / 03
Makoda gives owner-trusted projects on the same Mac a clear, purpose-built job API.
Each named integration gets its own local token. Revoke access from the Mac app when the project no longer needs it.
Makoda persists accepted jobs and exposes their status. Reuse an idempotency key to find the same request after a timeout.
The gateway listens on your Mac's loopback address. The current beta is for owner-trusted local projects, not production or remote clients.
GOOD TO KNOW 03 / 03
The app is free. Your account, machine and project remain yours to manage.
An Apple silicon Mac and a Codex CLI available on that Mac, either installed separately or bundled with the ChatGPT app. Codex must be signed in with your ChatGPT account.
No. Makoda is free to use, but Codex requests count against your ChatGPT plan's normal limits. Account-managed extra charges may still apply. Makoda does not switch to a paid API key.
The current beta is for owner-trusted development projects on the same Mac. It has no remote listener. Codex may use tools allowed by your local configuration, so only connect projects you trust.
Look up the accepted job by ID or retry its submission with the same idempotency key. Makoda reports uncertain execution outcomes rather than silently starting a new model turn.
This beta is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized. For a DMG install, use System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway on first launch. The command-line installer checks the archive hash and code signature; it does not make the app notarized.
READY TO TRY IT?
